MB4-2 The Erie canal was built so people could travel in a cheaper way.

the Erie canal was built to help all the farmers and people to get to places alot easier. the canal has like 83 locks or something like that.

The erie canal was built to get people across land faster and cheaper.The erie canal took eight years to make and they got paid only like 5 cents an hour or 5 cents a day,also the people uses mules to pull boats across water.

MB 4-2 Mules have to pull the boats because there is no current in the canal.
